Well, here we are, coming to a close of another school year.  This one is quite a doozy as my daughter gets ready to head into high school and Gus, well… maybe not quite a milestone but second grade here we come.

The weekend came with lots of photo ops as Mackenzie got ready for her 8th grade dance and Gus played in his first All-Star Game.  What a weekend!

Today in my inbox was a special invite from Living Social.  They are offering a $250,000 grant to 4 small businesses in the area.  As many of you know, I have dreamed of a studio space for many years.  This year I gave myself a deadline of when I turn 40 I must have a studio space.
You can imagine my surprise and excitement when I read the offer with my adrenaline continuing to soar thru my bloodstream as I filled out the application.

Well, I have done my part but I need 250 votes out there from you gorgeous people so I qualify for consideration.  The deadline is June 30th but I know each and everyone of you will go out and vote for me right now without any hesitation, right??!!  🙂

This really could be it… my fingers are crossed… this is my time… I can feel it.

Help us qualify for a $250,000 grant from Chase and LivingSocial.
Help us receive 250 votes on the Mission: Small Business℠ page to get closer to qualifying for a $250,000 Grant. After clicking “Support” on the home page, look for our business and vote for us!

Just click on Log in with facebook to support your community.  Type in Labor of Love Photography, hit search and vote.  So easy.  Of course I would love for you to pass this on to anyone that you know who knows my business and me for a fair and worthy vote.

Thanks so much!!

A Treasure!

I photographed the sweetest little newborn girl yesterday.  First I met her mom and dad during the belly session.  Mom had on the cutest belt and when asking her where she got it… she simply said, “I made it.” like it was no trouble at all to whip up.
When in their beautiful home yesterday, there were amazing DIY projects all over the home adding such detail and design to their home.  What is the saying?  “Love is in the details.”  Well, their is a ton of love in this home.  Lucky for us, Rachel records all of it in her darling blog, Rachel’s Nest.  I had to share on my blog as I easily let an hour pass exploring all the projects, recipes, fashion ideas and much more on RachelsNest.com.  Go check it out.
